Quality merchants are the core of our business. We believe they should expect the best and nothing less than the following terms from their marketing partners. Hence, we have codified the following Rights of Merchants:
1. Respectful, Face-to-Face Relationship You run a business targeting local customers. You deserve access to a local representative who understands your market and cares about the success of your business first and foremost. This person should be able to visit and support your establishment while giving you tailored advice that accounts for your goals and capacity. You deserve this no matter the size or location of your business.
2. Have the Right to Protect Your Brand Your business and the integrity of its brand should be protected in any promotion you conduct. You should have the opportunity to review all promotional sample, limitations, and image use.
3. No Hidden Costs Your contract should be clear and understandable. Material terms and limitations should not be buried where they are hard to find. Stated fees should be inclusive of all incidental costs.
4. Prompt Payment Running a business is challenging enough; you should receive payment well within the month of promotions in which you are dutifully fulfilling services upfront.
5. Have Freedom When Promoting Your Business You run (and perhaps own) your business; there is no reason you should be forced to work with just one online marketing program. Quality partners know that treating you well is the best way to earn your repeat business.
6. Advance Notice of Your Promotion Date Effective promotions should drive significant sales for you. As such, you should receive advance notice of your promotion's run date so that you can plan accordingly and be prepared for the influx of business. |
